When it comes to sound flavours, rich sound, and heartwarming comfort food, few dishes stand out like chicken tikka masala. This is a prominent dish that has found its way around the world, and for good reason. At The Grand Pavilion, we celebrate this creamy, spicy masterpiece not just as a menu item, but as a normal and cultural experience.

If you’ve ever thought you could recreate the wonders of chicken tikka masala at home, the truth is simple: you can make it! Even if you’re a seasoned home chef or you have just started, this dish provides a wonderful blend of conventional taste that anyone can master and truly enjoy.

What makes the chicken tikka different?

This is an adventure through the vibrant spices of India. Conventional kinds of marinated chicken are grilled or roasted, then simmered in a luscious, spiced tomato cream sauce. The outcome? The dish is rich, tangy, and slightly smoky, with just the right balance of spice and sweetness. At The Grand Pavilion, we take pride in crafting our Chicken Tikka Masala using age-old recipes, premium spices, and authentic tools that bring out its complete flavour profile. Every bite tells a story of heritage, hospitality, and culinary mastery.

Tips to Try Chicken Tikka Masala at Home

If you’re feeling inspired to cook this classic dish yourself, here are a few steps to help you get started:

  1. Start with the marinade

The key to a good complete (perfect) chicken tikka lies in the marinade. Use yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, and a blend of traditional Indian spices like garam masala, cumin, and turmeric. Let the chicken marinate for at least a few hours — overnight if possible — for maximum flavour.

  1. Grill or Roast the Chicken

Grilling gives the chicken that irresistible smoky flavour. You can also roast it in the oven or pan-fry it if needed. Just make sure the pieces are slightly charred for authenticity.

  1. The Sauce is Everything

The sauce combines onions, tomatoes, cream, and spices into a rich and silky base. Simmer the grilled chicken in this sauce until the flavours are fully absorbed.

  1. Serve it Right

Pair your Chicken Tikka Masala with fluffy basmati rice or warm naan bread to soak up every last drop of the delicious sauce.

Or Leave It to the Specialist

Of course, while cooking at home can be fun, sometimes the best choice is to sit back, relax, and let the experts do what they do best. At The Grand Pavilion, our chefs are passionate about delivering the most authentic Indian cuisine, arranged with love and the highest quality ingredients.
